30 Day Self-Care Challenge for Moms
Did you think you’d be using the word pandemic so often in 2020? It’s added a new range of vocabulary to our daily lives. We’re wearing face masks to the grocery store, carrying hand sanitizer with us everywhere we go, and the word COVID-19 has become as standard as saying words like peanut butter and jelly. *Or if you know someone with peanut allergies, no peanut butter and jelly sandwiches allowed.
So how do you shake off the overwhelm that’s challenged you in more ways than you can count on your hand? How do you get on with your life, knowing the “new normal” has changed pretty much everything you do and how you do it?
Why not take the 30-Day Challenge and Take Back Control of Your Life?
Let’s kick COVID-19 to the curb for a while and focus instead on yourself and your family. Ready to clear your head, jump back into your goals, and adapt in ways that leave you feeling revitalized?
You’ve lingered in stagnancy with schools closed, and work being turned upside down. Yes, you had a right to be in a slump, but that time is over, and now it’s time to take your life back. Seize this moment as a chance to say, “I’ve got this!”
Going forward, there’s only one way to win, and that’s by taking care of the elements of your life that you can control. So how does this 30-day challenge work? I’m glad you asked.
Each day, I challenge you to do something that will make your world a little brighter, a little bigger, and a little more shaped in a way that makes you smile. Here’s what it looks like.
The Challenge
Self-Care Goal
You are the priority. It’s easy to get caught up in a cycle of doing everything for everybody else, but self-care means you’re happier and healthier. In turn, this spreads to those around you, and everybody wins.
Your self-care relates to your body, mind, and soul. You need to reconnect to yourself, the things you love, and focus on the good in your life. The stress of COVID-19 has weighed us all down, but by choosing to put yourself front and center, you’re taking back control.
When You Don’t Know What to Do Next
Take the next step. It’s all you can do. Don’t dwell on what you can’t change. Focus on what you can. What makes you smile? What gets you and the kids laughing? What fills your soul with joy? These are the things that sadly get pushed aside. They need to be front and center in your life.
Think about your current challenges, how have they made you rethink your priorities?
Self-assessment is an important step in moving forward to take back control. What’s working? What isn’t? Get rid of the old, negative thoughts holding you back and embrace the self-love.
Being a mother is both rewarding and tiring at times. It’s okay to feel worn down. And with the new stressors that entered our lives, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. You don’t have to do it all. And you don’t have to do it all RIGHT NOW.
Let go of perfection and instead look at the things that have gone well, or at least better than you expected. Maybe you were worried about the homeschooling situation with schools closing, but once you found a system it ended up being okay.
Maybe your regular schedule was altered, but you learned a new way to do something. Maybe it forced your hand and you realized time together had fallen into a chore, rather than quality bonding that you enjoyed.
Humans are adaptable. Moms are especially adaptable. Think about everything you’ve gone through raising children. COVID-19 is no match for you. You’re stronger than you think you are, and ready to get on with things.
30 Days of Self-Care
In the chart above, you were given ideas to focus on yourself. Notice how each is something that helps you get back to a better sense of self-awareness. Take time for yourself. You’ve been on autopilot, but it’s time to unplug from the outside stressors and work on healing your body, mind, and soul.
Recharge. Spend time doing things you love. Spend time pampering yourself. Spend time doing things that make you laugh. Share fun moments with your family. Turn off social media, your phone, and go outdoors. Enjoy the sunshine, the birds singing, and breathe in nature.
It’s never been a better time to cleanse your bound up negative energy, and fuel yourself with positivity. Are you tired of feeling burned out, worn down, and simply dragging yourself through your day?
I understand where you are. I can help you reconnect with your goals and desires. Knowing the right questions to ask, you can learn what’s holding you back. Unpack your baggage, rebuild your confidence, and reach for your goals.
Regain time and energy by reassessing your priorities. Let me help you separate the dirty laundry, and together we’ll find ways to help you thrive. Revive yourself and find your passion, the passion you thought you’d lost. It’s still there, it’s simply been buried in the hamper beneath all the other stuff. No time like the present… contact me, today.
